- Location. Location. Location. A lot of factors go into choosing the perfect location for your Daytona Beach Wedding Ceremony. Daytona Beach is filled with amazing locations. The first thing to consider is your guest count. If you will be having a larger wedding, we highly recommend Wilbur By the Sea. This location provides plenty of parking, easy of access to the beach, there is no driving on the beach, and there is plenty of room for a larger wedding. If you will be having a smaller wedding or eloping, and will be staying directly on the beach, we may be able to have your beach wedding ceremony at your location. You can contact us for more information on this option.
2. Daytona Beach Wedding Attire. One of the biggest perks of having a wedding on the beach in Daytona, is the opportunity for beautiful, reflective photos off the water. There is also a beautiful ocean breeze every day. We recommend lightweight and flowing attire. Something that you aren’t afraid to get a little wet and that will beautifully pick up in the breeze making for stunning photos.
3. Beach Wedding Hair. As previously mentioned, there is always an ocean breeze! We cannot stress enough how important it is that you find an updo that works for you. This will eliminate you from having the constant disturbance of hair (or loose strands of hair by your face) constantly needing to be moved. And, don’t forget about the wedding pictures. Preventing your hair from flying all over will make a huge difference in your photos.
4. Go to Orlando. Daytona Beach is just a short drive from Orlando. With an abundance of fine dining, theme parks and unique experiences, it will bring endless entertainment to your trip to Florida. If you are looking for a thrilling experience, we recommend staying on the beach before your wedding and heading to Orlando for a few nights after your wedding, This will allow you to have two very different experiences in one vacation. Visit the world famous Disney World in Just Married Minnie and Mickey ears or for thrill seekers visit Universal Studios.
5.Complimentary Breakfast. If you and your guests will be staying at the same hotel, and if there is complimentary breakfast try to plan a morning. In most cases, your guests will have traveled down here to see you get married on the beach. While you will be busy getting ready and trying to enjoy your new married life, inviting your guests’ to enjoy breakfast is a great way to spend time with them. Try to pick a day when all of your guests will be in town and inform everyone when you will be there. This is a great way to throw in an additional meal at no extra cost to you. The gesture is sure to go a long way with your guests.
