St. Augustine Beach Weddings
St. Augustine beach weddings combine the best of both worlds: a beautiful, historic district downtown with the tropical beaches of Florida. All of our popular beach wedding packages are available in the St. Augustine area: this includes Palm Coast and Flagler Beach. With many unique dining options, day trips, excursions and sight seeing options, you and your guests will get to escape reality and enjoy an experience like no other.
St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States and with more character than you could ever imagine. The highlight is the Castillo de San Marcos: the oldest masonry fortress in the United States. This St. Augustine fort is a treasure not to be missed. While you are here for your beach wedding you can also enjoy a haunted ghost tour, a horse and carriage ride downtown, cobblestone streets, bed and breakfasts, and fine dining. For more ideas and inspiration on what to do while in St. Augustine, check out Visit St. Augustine.
We recommend Vilano Beach* or Anastasia State Park as a choice spot for your ceremony. Just north of St. Augustine and popular for its casual atmosphere, quiet ambiance, and natural surroundings. The photo below shows Amanda and Josh after saying their vows at sunset. Leave the big city behind and escape here for your beautiful destination wedding! We look forward to working with you to make your dream beach wedding come true. *Note: Vilano Beach is great for small weddings, but can have a very big hill. The easiest beach for accessibility is Anastasia.

When is the best time for a St. Augustine Beach Wedding?
Winter Weddings: Winter weddings allow you to take advantage of emptier beaches, earlier wedding times and out of season discounts. The beaches are beautiful for a ceremony as they tend to be much less crowded. The sun also sets earlier in the winter, so you can plan for an afternoon or even a beautiful 4:00 wedding start time, making the rest of the night right on schedule for dinner, dancing and an unforgettable evening. You will also be able to take advantage of out of season rates on hotels and possibly even dining and tours.
Fall Weddings: Fall weddings allow you to take advantage of the warm weather and less crowded beaches. Fall is a beautiful time in Florida as the extreme summer heat is over, but you can still relax and enjoy sunshine days in the sun and ocean. It is the perfect time to renew your vows, have a commitment ceremony or plan a complete Florida wedding ceremony,
Summer Beach Weddings: If you want a vacation and beach wedding all in one, summer is the perfect time. We plan our weddings either early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the sun bathers. You will be able to enjoy sunshine, swimming in the ocean, the pools and all the fun events that take place in the summer months. This is ideal if you travel with kids who will enjoy a sun and sea beach wedding.
Spring Beach Weddings: Spring comes complete with the perfect weather for a beach wedding: not too hot and not too cold. You can enjoy a day relaxing on the beach or out experiencing downtown St. Augustine without getting too hot. Spring weddings also allow you to take advantage of amazing wedding times and have a little bit of an earlier ceremony, allowing plenty of time for wedding photos and reception time.
St. Augustine Beach Wedding FAQs
When is the best time for a beach wedding in St. Augustine?
We recommend doing an evening or morning wedding. This gets you out of the Florida heat as much as possible and the beaches tend to be less crowded. If possible we recommend scheduling a weekday wedding. The beaches are far less busy and you are more likely to get the “private” beach feel every engaged couple dreams of.
Do I need a beach wedding permit?
Most of our beach weddings in St. Augustine do require you to have a permit. The permit fee depends on the location and the amount of participants joining you on the beach for your special day.
What is the best location for my St. Augustine Beach wedding?
We highly recommend Anastasia State Park. There is no driving on the beach, which means no cars in your background. There are no buildings blocking the views and there are beautiful dunes to complete your beach wedding photos. A small, romantic pavilion venue is available to rent for your wedding reception. And, it has a large parking lot to accommodate your guests.
