St. Augustine Beach Weddings
St. Augustine beach weddings combine the best of both worlds: a beautiful, historic district downtown with the tropical beaches of Florida. All of our popular beach wedding packages are available in the St. Augustine area: this includes Palm Coast and Flagler Beach. With many unique dining options, day trips, excursions and sight seeing options, you and your guests will get to escape reality and enjoy an experience like no other.
St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States and with more character than you could ever imagine. The highlight is the Castillo de San Marcos: the oldest masonry fortress in the United States. This St. Augustine fort is a treasure not to be missed. While you are here for your beach wedding you can also enjoy a haunted ghost tour, a horse and carriage ride downtown, cobblestone streets, bed and breakfasts, and fine dining. For more ideas and inspiration on what to do while in St. Augustine, check out Visit St. Augustine.
We recommend Vilano Beach* or Anastasia State Park as a choice spot for your ceremony. Just north of St. Augustine and popular for its casual atmosphere, quiet ambiance, and natural surroundings. The photo below shows Amanda and Josh after saying their vows at sunset. Leave the big city behind and escape here for your beautiful destination wedding! We look forward to working with you to make your dream beach wedding come true. *Note: Vilano Beach is undergoing a refresh so please let us check 2021 availability of this location for you, if you’re interested in it.

Hotels for your St. Augustine Beach Wedding Ceremony
Where should you stay for your wedding? If you will be staying at a beachfront hotel, we may be able to perform your seaside wedding ceremony there. With this option, consider having your guests stay at this hotel as well to eliminate any parking issues. If you are looking for a more unique feel, consider staying in a hotel downtown and using one of our provided locations for your beach wedding ceremony in St. Augustine.
Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort
For an all-inclusive St. Augustine Beach wedding and reception, Embassy Suites is an ideal location for you. You can book their oceanfront banquet room as your wedding reception venue (up to 300 guests) and have one of our beautiful beach wedding ceremonies on the sand right at the hotel, depending on the tide schedule (please discuss this with our Beach Wedding Specialists). However, this Embassy Suites hotel is only valet parking and may make it difficult if most of your guests will be staying elsewhere. This is one of the few options for hotels that are directly on the beach in St. Augustine. You will need a required beach wedding permit to have your ceremony at the Embassy Suites in St. Augustine.
Castillo Real Resort Hotel, St. Augustine
The Castillo Real resort is located on the beachfront in St. Augustine. We can perform all of our St. Augustine beach wedding packages here. However, for our larger packages, all of your guests must be staying at this location as the parking is very limited for non-hotel guests. If you are planning a more intimate beach wedding here, consider going to the La Cocina for dinner, located directly in the hotel. This makes your day as smooth as possible. Eliminating any and all travel, makes for a stress-free beach wedding ceremony.
Anastasia State Park Weddings
Anastasia State Park is our ideal location for St. Augustine Beach weddings. Just a short drive from downtown St. Augustine, you will have a wide variety of dining options to choose from for your reception. Anastasia State Park has a large parking lot, so it is a great option for small or large weddings. There are no buildings on the beach and no driving, so you get nothing but beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and beach dunes. The Sea Turtle Pavilion is available for small, outdoor wedding receptions. There is a permit fee for an Anastasia State Park Wedding, the price depends on the size of your wedding. For more information on an Anastasia Sate Park Wedding, check out our information here.
Butler Beach Weddings
Butler Beach is a great option if you have guests that would have a hard time getting down to the beach. Butler Beach allows beach driving for 4 wheel drive vehicles ONLY. The beautiful walkway down to your beach wedding will make for beautiful photos. However, since this is a beach driving beach, it tends to be the busier option of our St. Augustine beach wedding locations. There is a permit fee to have your wedding ceremony at Butler Beach.
Palm Coast, located in Flagler County, is a small town located just south of St. Augustine and just north of Daytona Beach, Florida. Palm Coast has a large beach front community known as Hammock Dunes. With its luxury homes, condominiums and over 2500 acres of pristine properties covering over five miles of shoreline, there are plenty of options for you and your guests. This massive community has luxury condos, large homes, golfing, as well as other amenities.
In Flagler Beach, enjoy fishing off the pier. Or, spend the day enjoying the beautiful Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. This State Park has beautiful views of the gardens and large coquina rock on the beaches. It is very relaxed and has lovely, brown sugar sand.

They have two private dining options, one for up to 60 guests and one for larger parties, so weddings of all sizes can have a private dining option. When is the best time for a St. Augustine Beach Wedding?
Winter Weddings: Winter weddings allow you to take advantage of emptier beaches, earlier wedding times and out of season discounts. The beaches are beautiful for a ceremony as they tend to be much less crowded. The sun also sets earlier in the winter, so you can plan for an afternoon or even a beautiful 4:00 wedding start time, making the rest of the night right on schedule for dinner, dancing and an unforgettable evening. You will also be able to take advantage of out of season rates on hotels and possibly even dining and tours.
Fall Weddings: Fall weddings allow you to take advantage of the warm weather and less crowded beaches. Fall is a beautiful time in Florida as the extreme summer heat is over, but you can still relax and enjoy sunshine days in the sun and ocean. It is the perfect time to renew your vows, have a commitment ceremony or plan a complete Florida wedding ceremony,
Summer Beach Weddings: If you want a vacation and beach wedding all in one, summer is the perfect time. We plan our weddings either early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the sun bathers. You will be able to enjoy sunshine, swimming in the ocean, the pools and all the fun events that take place in the summer months. This is ideal if you travel with kids who will enjoy a sun and sea beach wedding.
Spring Beach Weddings: Spring comes complete with the perfect weather for a beach wedding: not too hot and not too cold. You can enjoy a day relaxing on the beach or out experiencing downtown St. Augustine without getting too hot. Spring weddings also allow you to take advantage of amazing wedding times and have a little bit of an earlier ceremony, allowing plenty of time for wedding photos and reception time.
