Break Away To A Butler Beach Wedding

The Beach Location

Kaylee and Brandon said, “I do” in July at Butler Beach, just south of St. Augustine Beach, Florida. Butler Beach on Anastasia Island is only eight miles from St. Augustine’s historic district. Wide stretches of white sand beach makes it the perfect location for a beach wedding ceremony. Butler Beach offers free parking, restrooms, showers, barbecue grills, and picnic pavilions.

The Bride

The bride’s beautiful lace wedding dress included a train that trailed beautifully behind her in the sand. Her father walked beside her to give her away at the beach ceremony. Kaylee and Brandon chose to write their own personalized vows which were witnessed by 50 guests. Music on their custom playlist included, “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Our wedding ceremony coordinator, Pam, officiated as they tied the knot under this black bamboo wedding arch.

The Ceremony

The couple had one groomsman and one bridesmaid, who looked splendid in her purple gown. They had a Unity Sand Ceremony to symbolize their new life together after marriage. This was was included in their Destiny package. The bride chose coral (tropical delight) and blue as well as beautiful tiki torches to highlight the black bamboo of this wedding package design (natural bamboo is available too). Purple chair bands adorned the white guest chairs. The tiki poles were connected with strands of small white seashells with small purple flowers on the strands. So pretty!

They got to keep the vase to remember their special day with their family. After the ceremony, our beach photographer got to work capturing all the special moments of their wedding day. Choosing this option, for a small fee, can make a big difference in the quality of photos you have to remember and share forever. Don’t leave these important moments up to somebody’s iPhone!

The Wedding Photography

Kaylee and Brandon will remember their special day forever and we hope they will return to Butler Beach. At the end of the beach wedding the family and friends walked down to Atlantic ocean to take more pictures. Our professional wedding photographer takes as many interesting poses as possible. As you can see below, the landscape provided many fabulous opportunities for memorable pictures.

A Crystal Clearwater Beach Wedding Day

Andy and Julee tied the knot in October at this Clearwater Beach wedding venue. This popular Gulf beach venue is located at Avalon and Mandalay Avenue in Clearwater Beach near Tampa. The white sand is what everyone loves about the Clearwater Beach area! The Distinctive Design wedding package they chose is called the Starfish Distinctive Design because it has large white starfish cascading down the back of the large bamboo canopy and two large starfish in the front corners. Julee walked, with her boys, toward the matching bamboo pole aisle-way with starfish accents and greenery to meet Andy and say, “I do”.

The Bride

Ivory draping on the bamboo arch went with the bride’s simple, yet elegant, spaghetti strap wedding gown. They also had a large wooden chalkboard sign announcing their new marriage. Beautiful music played for their wedding ceremony procession; they chose to walk together down the sandy aisle to say their forever vows. Songs played included, “What a Wonderful World”. Our wedding officiant and ceremony coordinator, Tyler, gave the newly joined couple the spotlight under the bamboo arch at the end of the ceremony (photo below).

The Ceremony

With over 40 guests, this couple added the optional seashell blessing after the ceremony which was included in their package. They also took part in a Sand Ceremony with turquoise and white sand as their color choices. They got to keep the vase to remember their special day with their family. Julee’s attendant (a daughter) wore a one-shoulder, aqua blue bridesmaid dress which was so pretty…it was also the color choice for the sashes on the bride and groom’s white guest chairs.

Clouds could not dim the joy of this Florida Beach Wedding and our professional photographer captured every moment.

The Wedding Package

You can see how soft and pretty the draping and starfish hanging down behind this couple is (pictured below). Their all inclusive beach wedding package choice made the whole day easy for them. The blue sky and water in the background are what dream weddings are made of. Julee and Andy will remember this day forever and we hope they will return to Clearwater Beach for future anniversaries!

At the end of the beach wedding the family walked down to the Gulf water to take a group photograph using our professional wedding photographer. The sun was beginning to set in the background making it a perfect end to the day. Afterward they headed over to the Palm Pavilion Inn for a reception dinner.

Congratulations, Julee and Andy! Julee was kind enough to leave us a five star Google review: “Florida beach weddings did an excellent job for my wedding on October 3, 2020. They were flexible with working with a few small details I wanted changed and had everything set up just like I asked. Any future brides I would highly recommend using this company.”  Contact us today about your Florida wedding plans.

Kristi and Blake’s Fort Walton Beach Wedding

Kristi and Blake were lucky in love as they recited their vows in September at this Gulf beach wedding ceremony. The white, fluffy sand on Fort Walton Beach, Florida could be mistaken for snow but it was warm at this dream beach wedding venue! Their Nautical Knot wedding package is one of our most popular, and this couple chose the hot pink and white fabric to compliment the tropical flowers that topped their bamboo arch. They added colorful Tiki torches down the aisleway and coral bands for their white guest chairs. The groomsmen waited with the groom, and the bridesmaids walked down individually. They also had a ringbearer.

Kristi and Blake had a sand ceremony which included coral and white sand to symbolize the joining of their two hearts, lives and families. They get to keep the vase to remember their special day. This bride and groom chose their own officiant to tie the knot.

The music they added was a customized playlist of their most cherished songs for their special day: a mixture of guitar and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship. Even the cloudy day could not diminish their joy as they posed down by the Gulf beach water. What a perfect barefoot wedding picture!

Pretty in Ponce Inlet Beach

Tucked away from busy, everyday life there is a hidden gem of a town, Ponce Inlet. Situated just a few miles south of Daytona Beach, Ponce Inlet is a much quieter, more preserved version of it’s bustling neighbor: the “world famous” beach. That being said there are still days worth of exploring and fun within this quaint beachfront town. With emerald water so clear you can see through the warm rolling waves and white sand, you might think you are closer to the Bahamas than Florida! Ponce Inlet provides opportunities to see manatees, dolphins frolicking close by and manta rays swimming by your side. As the fluffy white clouds billow offshore, you and your beloved just might decide to stay forever after your wedding on the beach…and who could blame you? But if you can break away from the sun and sea, then grab your sneakers, appetite for fun and let’s explore Ponce Inlet Beach!

Top 5 Things to do in Ponce Inlet

One of the coolest things about this list is you could do them all without any transportation besides your own two feet! Now if you’re planning a summer Ponce Inlet wedding, you will likely still want to drive and soak up some A/C in between stops. Let’s explore Ponce Inlet and why it is pretty perfect!

1. Ponce Inlet Jetty

There aren’t many places quite like Ponce Inlet Jetty. You can actually walk along a paved sidewalk atop the jetty for about 100 yards. The views are like no other with a variety of boats passing by. It’s like you’re walking on water. The jetty itself is free. Parking at the Lighthouse Park runs $10. Public bathrooms, picnic tables, a wooden walkway through the dunes, all make for a perfect beach adventure! The water is the clearest in this area: watch the fish shimmer in the sun as you take a swim. You can even get married at this park with the lighthouse in the background!

2. Ponce Preserve

You don’t need extreme survival skills to hike this trail. However, the views and peacefulness at Ponce Preserve are well worth any trek. You can walk through a shaded path to a lookout tower with a beautiful ocean view. Continue a little further to a beach access point. Walk in the opposite direction and you can journey down the boardwalk to the Intracoastal river. At its heart is the Green Mound State Archaeological Site, an ancient Indian midden. At the base of the Green Mound is a live oak estimated to be more than 350 years old. It’s the perfect spot to reconnect with your significant other and enjoy the beauty of nature. If you are staying in the area for your honeymoon, why not share a romantic moment and watch the sun rise together.

3. Marine Science Center

A fun spot for animal lovers, kids and grown ups alike! The Marine Science Center is an awesome place to visit for an hour or two. You can pet sting rays (don’t worry, they’re harmless), observe gorgeous tropical fish tanks, learn about the turtle rehabilitation and view sea turtles, visit the aviary, and more! And there’s a fun gift shop with perfect souvenirs to remember your Florida Beach Wedding by!

4. Ponce Inlet Lighthouse

Tie your sneakers and get ready for some spectacular views! Climb 203 steps to the top of the 175 foot tall lighthouse. The views of the ocean, beach, and surrounding cities of New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach is breathtaking! Trekking to the top is well worth the effort — and when you come back down explore in the on-site museum and light station. The Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station is one of only 11 lighthouses on the National Historic Landmark list.

5. Off the Hook

Looking for a place to get some delicious fresh seafood (or a burger for you non-seafood lovers out there)?  Off the Hook offers delicious food and an atmosphere that matches the Florida vibe. Picture yourself: sitting on the water, sunset watchin’, cold drink in hand, and maybe even a dolphin show in the river if you’re lucky! Sounds like a date!

So what complete beach wedding packages work best with a Ponce Inlet seaside wedding? Our staff recommends these ocean themed decorations:

The Beach Bliss Distinctive Design with navy and gold decor is perfect with the sky, the sand and the sea. Hanging starfish lanterns, flowers, nautical rope and a large decorated “chalkboard” sign announcing the new couple is stunning, along with a chilled water station for your guests. You can even change the materials colors if you like.

Another favorite is the Teal Distinctive Design. Nothing says “ocean” like vibrant teal flowers, greenery and bamboo. White resin chairs and chalkboard sign announce your marriage, along with the convenient addition of chilled water for your wedding guests.

Top Tips for Your Destination Wedding On the Beach

wedding on the beach

Florida destination weddings are more popular than ever for couples that are planning a beach wedding. A wedding on the beach is the perfect romantic way to say “I do” for many people. Planning early can be the best way to ensure your wedding ceremony comes together perfectly. Of course, the perfect beach wedding starts with picking your beach venue. Getting married on the beach does not mean that you need to travel out of the USA, but it does mean you need to make preparations a few months in advance. Choosing a reputable, professional beach wedding company will go a long way to reducing any stress you have about planning a destination wedding.

Tips for Planning A Wedding On the Beach

Beach weddings in Florida are popular destination wedding spaces so you do want to book early. Your first step to getting married on the beach is to ensure that you have your date booked. You should plan as far in advance as possible. Of course, you can always book later, but it is best if you can book around 6-12 months out from your planned date, especially if you want a weekend wedding. One of the things you can do to make the process easier is to be a little more flexible on your wedding date: have a few options in mind when you speak to your wedding provider.

This bride and groom celebrate during one of our Daytona Beach Weddings.

Daytona Beach Wedding Couple

The same goes for location! Have a list of your top 3 beach venues so that you book one that aligns with your date. For example, if you want a Gulf beach wedding then explore Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beaches, and Siesta Key beach. If you prefer the Atlantic coast of Florida with its white capped waves, then explore getting married on St. Augustine Beach, Daytona area beaches and Cocoa Beach.

You should plan for about 50% attendance rate at your beach wedding if it is a destination wedding. If you live in Florida that changes things. A local Florida resident will have a much larger turnout, than those that have to travel a long distance for the wedding at the beach. Don’t worry either way, your Florida marriage license is easy to get.

Make a List

If your wedding is a destination wedding, lists are a very important part of the planning process. Making lists of everything that you will need for your wedding on the beach is vitally important to ensure a smooth ceremony. Include on your list the following:

  • Delegation of duties
  • Transportation
  • Packing list
  • Ceremony necessities

In addition to the general bridal planning, you will need to delegate some of the duties for your destination wedding, especially if children are involved. A bride and groom should not be managing young children on their wedding day, so enlist the help of family and friends to assist with them. Also, delegating someone to ensure that guests have all the help they need, directions, etc. is crucial. Ensure every detail is planned for the day and keep a list of who is responsible for what. Your bridal party will be glad to help as well.

Transportation Arrangements

Make a list of what transportation you will use to get around during your stay. Contact the transportation method of choice early on to book your transportation so you can check that off your list. Whether it is a beach shuttle, rental car or private limo, make sure it is confirmed and ready when you arrive. We encourage our couples to arrive a few days early to their chosen beach venue in order to become familiar with the beach, their accommodations and transportation. We also provide our wedding couples with a list of local amenities and vendors, once they have booked their ceremony with our top rated beach wedding company.

What To Pack

You will need to arrange to get your wedding attire to the beach venue, and all the things that you will need during your stay. Make a list of everything that you want to bring with you so nothing is left behind…especially your wedding dress! Check with your airline for sizes and carry on regulations. Don’t assume anything. It is important to avoid packing your wedding dress in checked luggage if at all possible. Try to find out how your airline handles passengers with large-but-delicate items like a wedding dress. You can call them ahead of time to see if they would potentially offer closet space (often at the discretion of the flight attendants on duty).

Ceremony Necessities

Make a list of everything you want at your ceremony. Having a list to check off will ensure that you do not forget anything. Maybe you want guest bags or sunglasses. Maybe some cute flip flops. Do you want chilled water for your guests? We have complete beach wedding packages that include this so you won’t have to worry about their comfort in the Florida weather.
